Concept

Keepra is a unique software application for the Mac that unifies the organization of files and records into a common, and familiar paradigm. Rather than imposing its own organizational scheme on its audience, it allows the user to design a personal 'system' within the app, that works for them. Being so highly customizable, it is able to evolve as the user's needs do, rather than requiring a new app for each organizational style a person decides to use. As such, organization, information management, asset management, project management and other common tasks are quick, and time-consuming data-migration is avoided.

Technical Details

Technically-speaking, Keepra is what is known as a 'skinnable' app. This is an application that can be fundamentally reconfigured to present itself in different ways ('skins'). With Keepra this concept goes beyond just the appearence of the app, to actual structural components -- in this case, playlists, and meta-data storage panels. What this means in practical terms is that Keepra can easily adapt itself to many different kinds of work flows, as needed.

Enterprise Markets

Keepra's unique adaptibility makes it a powerful tool in both enterprise, and personal settings. It would be a great choice for an organization that would like to support many different employee workflows using a familiar, common design that can be easily taught. This approach can save many thousands of dollars in training and education expenses, and allow employees to move within different roles in a company without having to learn a new set of tools. This is especially valuable in an environment with high turnover rates, or employing many contractors; for example, film and tv studios who might hire many people for each single project.

Consumer Markets

For personal use, Keepra can be similarly powerful. It is designed to be useful across many different kinds of tasks, rather than just a single one. This flexible approach opens up powerful, cross-task searching, and provides a central hub through which many activies can be launched. Also, its built-in file/asset/content management system spares a user from having to create and browse folders to store and find what they are looking for.
