Suntrees

Concept

The design concept was to produce realistic, yet primitive looking, fantastical plants. Natural, organic materials were used for all visible components to hint that the Suntrees could be a living things. An internal glow is revealed at night, representing the plant's life force.

Execution

Structure	Bamboo, welded steel skeleton.
Seeds	Sewn cloth covering inflated white yoga balls.
Lights	One white LED per Suntree, shining down onto a giant yoga-ball 'pixel'
